Tulalip Tribes Watershed Health Stream Monitoring, The Tulalip Tribes

The objectives of the Tulalip Tribes stream macroinvertebrate and habitat surveys are to 1) Survey the biological conditions and track the biological health of the 3 stream systems on the reservation, Quilceda, Tulalip and Battle (a.k.a. Mission) Creeks by conducting macroinvertebrate surveys on each stream system. 2) Monitor habitat conditions for the Reservation’s 3 streams by conducting stream habitat surveys. To achieve these data objectives and to meet the new EPA Guidance for awards of grants to Indian Tribes under Section 106 of the Clean Water Act the Tulalip Water Quality Program will conduct or utilize EPA monitoring results to assess the condition and track the health of stream habitat conditions and biological systems.
